Congratulations to CEPR Vice President Hélène Rey, who received the 2023 Adam Smith Award. Each year, the National Association for Business Economics (NABE)'s president selects an Adam Smith Award recipient based upon leadership in the profession and the application of economic principles and knowledge in the workplace and policy arenas.

Hélène Rey is the Vice President of CEPR. She is also a Research Fellow for CEPR's International Macroeconomics and Finance, Asset Pricing, Banking and Corporate Finance programmes, and a member of CEPR's European Economic Policy Rsearch Policy Network. Hélène is the Lord Bagri Professor of Economics at London Business School. Her research focuses on the determinants and consequences of external trade and financial imbalances, the theory of financial crises and the organization of the international monetary system.
