Shoumitro Chatterjee is an Assistant Professor of International Economics at Johns Hopkins University. His research interests are at the intersection of development economics and international trade.
Chatterjee is a Non-Resident Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. Before joining SAIS, he was a faculty member at the Pennsylvania State University and Georgetown University. In addition, he served as an Economist in the Office of the Chief Economic Advisor of India during 2015-16.
