The third CEPR Economic History Symposium will take place in Oslo, 19-20 June 2015. The event will be organised by Steve Broadberry (London School of Economics and CEPR), Øyvind Eitrheim (Norges Bank), Kevin O'Rourke (University of Oxford and CEPR) and Gianni Toniolo (LUISS Guido Carli and CEPR).
The symposium aims to bring together leading researchers in the field and will cover the following topics:
. Macroeconomic and financial history
. Economic growth in the very long run
. Institutions and economic development
. The history of the international economy
One half day will be devoted to a policy session, exploring ways in which economic history can provide lessons for today's economic challenges.
