  • Venue

The conference will take place in the Poesjkin Zaal at the Hermitage Museum:

The room will be equipped with a projector and laptop for presentation slides. Participants will also have access to Wi-Fi in the conference room. Details will be provided on the day.

  • Accommodation

For participants on the programme requiring a hotel room during their stay in Amsterdam, reservations have been made with the following hotel:

For participants whose accommodation costs are covered by the organisers, please be reminded that incidental expenses such as the mini-bar, laundry, telephone, Internet or any other service offered by the hotel are not covered and should be settled with the hotel directly.

  • Directions

The most convenient airport to fly to is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. From the airport, the city centre is 15 minutes by train (The train station is underneath Schiphol Airport).

From Amsterdam Central Station participants can take tramline 4 or 9 to stop Rembrandtplein for the hotel, which is on the opposite side of the square. To get to the conference venue from the station, participants can take the Metro 2 stops to Waterlooplein (lines 51, 53 or 54). Please consult the map (or interactive link) at the end of this document for more detailed directions.

The hotel is situated within walking distance from the Hermitage. Please refer to the map at the end of this document for directions.

  • Meals

Breakfast should be taken at the hotel. Lunch and refreshments during the day will be provided at the conference venue during the breaks in the programme.

The conference dinner will take place on Friday evening 15 November, at the Academische Club, starting with drinks from 6 pm and dinner at 7 pm. The restaurant is a 20-minute walk from the conference venue. Please consult the map at the end of this document for further details:
