Registration starts at 9.30am on Thursday 15 September. The registartion desk is located just outside the conference room with catering taking place just across the hall from the room.
There is free wi-fi throughout the venue - log-in details will be displayed in the conference room and communal areas.
Directions from Munich airport - take the S-Bahn (linie 8) to Daglfing and change for the the 188 bus (direction of 'Unterföhring'). Change at 'Herkomerplatz' for the 187 bus in the direction 'Rümelinstrasse' and alight at 'Poschingerstrasse' - the ifo Institute is adjacent to this.
Alternatively, you can catch a taxi from the rank outside the arrivals hall (no pre-booking required and most accept credit cards) which will take approximately 40 minutes (costs around €50).

Participants staying at either the Hotel Carlton Astoria or Hotel Leopold will be escorted either via foot or public transport by students from the ifo Institute - further details can be found below.

The bed and breakfast costs for all programme participants and organisers will be covered. If you are a general participant and CEPR has booked a room here on your behalf, please check your email invitation to confirm if the B&B costs are covered also. Incidental costs (telephone calls, laundry, bar drinks / snacks etc) for everyone will need to paid for direct with the hotel on departure.
Directions from Munich airport - take the S-Bahn (linie 8) to Marienplatz and change for the U-Bahn (linie 3 or 6) to Odeonsplatz. From here the hotel is 500 metres away. Alternatively, you can catch a taxi from the rank outside the arrivals hall (no pre-booking required and most accept credit cards) which will take approximately 40 minutes (costs around €50).
From the hotel to the ifo Institute - The hotel is a 30-35 minute walk to the conference venue but is nearby very good and efficient public transport links that will swiftly take you to the Institute. There will be students from the ifo Institute to meet participants at the hotel in the morning of both Thursday 15th and Friday 16th to escort either by foot or on public transport to the Institute. Please check back here closer to the start date for exact departure times.

Participants will enjoy a true Bavarian evening at the world famous Hofbräuhaus, built in the 16th century.
All programme participants / organisers have been automatically booked a space on the conference dinner. For general participants - please check your email confirmation from CEPR is a space has been reserved for you.
The Hofbräuhaus is a 15 minute walk from the Hotel Carlton Astoria. Students from the ifo Institute will meet participants in the hotel lobby at 7.10pm for a 7.15pm set-off.
All dietary requirements will be catered for if known in advance to the CEPR Events team.
