€-coin declined in November (to -0.62 from -0.31 in October) after a temporary improvement in October
- €-coin declined in November (to -0.62 from -0.31 in October) after a temporary improvement in October.
- The decrease in the indicator was mainly due to the further deterioration in confidence of manufacturing firms, on a declining path since nine months.
- The €-coin indicator developed by the Bank of Italy provides a summary index of the current economic situation in the euro area. The indicator is an estimate of quarterly GDP growth shorn of the most erratic components (seasonal variations, measurement errors and short-run volatility). €-coin is published monthly by the Bank of Italy and CEPR.
- The next publication dates for €-coin are Thursday, 5 January 2023 and Friday, 3 February 2023 (to be confirmed).
