The Minister for Finance Michael McGrath has reappointed CEPR Research Fellow Michael McMahon to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council. 

Minister McGrath said: "I congratulate Prof. McMahon on his reappointment to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council. His contribution to the work of the Council has enhanced the public debate and scrutiny that now takes place around complex fiscal and economic issues in Ireland. I wish Prof. McMahon continued success in his role."

Michael McMahon is the Leader for CEPR's Central Bank Communication Research Policy Network. He is also a Research Fellow for CEPR's Monetary Economics and Fluctuations programme. He is a Professor of Economics, Associate Head of Department for Research, Macroeconomics Group Convenor and Senior Research Fellow at the University Of Oxford. His research interests lie in study of fiscal policy, business cycles, monetary economics, inventories and applied econometrics.
