Abbey Steele

Abbey Steele is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD from Yale University (2010), and has been a post-doctoral fellow at Princeton University (2010-2012), an assistant professor at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University (2012-2015), and a visiting scholar at Kobe University (2015). Her main research interests are civil wars, displacement and state-building, and she is the author of Democracy and Displacement in Colombia's Civil War (Cornell University Press, 2017).
