Adam Jakubik

Economist at International Monetary Fund

Adam Jakubik is an Economist working on trade policy issues in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department at the International Monetary Fund. Previously he has worked in the Economic Research and Statistics Division at the World Trade Organization (2016-20) on research, policy publications such as the World Trade Report, and as economic advisor to several WTO dispute settlement proceedings concerning subsidies, countervailing (anti-subsidy) duties, and anti-dumping. He holds a PhD in economics from the European University Institute, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in economics from University College London. He has published on WTO issues, the labor market effects of trade, services, and global value chains, among others, in the Journal of Economic Geography and the European Economic Review.
