Adina Popescu

Senior Economist at International Monetary Fund

Adina Popescu is a Senior Economist in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the International Monetary Fund. Her previous assignments in the European Department of the IMF included both program and surveillance countries. She also taught courses at the IMF's Institute for Capacity Development. Prior to the IMF, she was an Economist at the European Central Bank, where she worked in the areas of monetary policy implementation, strategy and research. Her research and publications tackle diverse topics in both empirical and theoretical quantitative macroeconomics, with a focus in the areas of macro-fiscal, monetary and international economics. She obtained her PhD in Economics from the London Business School.
