Alain de Janvry is a Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and a senior fellow at the FERDI. His fields of work include poverty analysis, rural development, land reform, quantitative analysis of development policies, impact evaluation of social programs, technological innovations in agriculture, and the management of common property resources.
