Albert de Vaal

Associate Professor of International Trade at Radboud University Nijmegen

Albert de Vaal (1966) is Associate Professor of International Trade with the Department of Economics at Radboud University Nijmegen. He received his training at Erasmus University Rotterdam, from where he received his PhD-degree in 1995. From 1995-1997 he worked as a Post-doc Researcher at the University of Groningen. His teaching and research activities focus mainly on explaining and understanding (effects of) international trade and foreign direct investment. Specific research topics include knowledge spillovers from FDI, nonhomothetic demand in international trade, the economics of Fair Trade, and corruption and economic growth. Recent publications include papers in the Journal of Development Economics, the Review of Development Economics and the Journal of International Trade and Economic Development.
