Alessandro Turrini is a Head of Unit at the European Commission, DG Economic and Financial Affairs. He is also an IZA affiliate and a Lecturer at the Free University of Brussels. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Bergamo and lecturer at Bocconi University. He obtained his PhD in economics from the University of Louvain and was a visiting post-graduate student at LSE. His research interests are in the areas of trade, international macroeconomics, applied fiscal policy, labour economics.
