Amanda Pallais

Professor of Economics at Harvard University

Amanda Pallais is a Professor of Economics at Harvard University, a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and an affiliate of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab and the MIT School Effectiveness and Inequality Initiative. Pallais’s research studies the labor market performance and educational investment decisions of disadvantaged and socially excluded groups. She received her B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Virginia in 2006 and her Ph.D. in Economics from MIT in 2011. She is the recipient of a National Science Foundation CAREER Award and an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship.
