Andrea Pagano holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Brown University (USA). After few years in academia teaching calculus and advanced calculus and doing research on complex geometry, in 2000, he started to work on environmental modelling at Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). From 2005 he has been working as Researcher at the European Commission Joint Research Centre, where he developed research on global sensitivity analysis. In 2011 he joined the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit where, as data analyst and modeller, he developed quantitative tools for impact assessments of new regulatory proposals in the field of banking regulation and financial stability.
