Anil Ari is an economist in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund, where he works on the United Kingdom. Previously, he served as a desk economist for Ukraine and at the Macro-Financial division of the IMF Research Department. Mr. Ari has published in the Journal of Monetary Economics and the Journal of Banking & Finance, and has been awarded a Lamfalussy Research Fellowship by the European Central Bank and the Klaus Liebscher Award by Oesterreichische Nationalbank. Mr. Ari holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
