Anirudh Shingal is a Senior Fellow at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi; a Programme Associate of the Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute (EUI), Florence and a Fellow of the World Trade Institute (WTI), University of Bern. He has also been a Jean Monnet Fellow at the EUI and a Senior Research Fellow and Lecturer in Economics at the WTI. A PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex, Dr. Shingal has close to twenty years of progressively responsible experience in the empirical and policy analysis of trade and development issues. He has over seventy publications on trade in services, government procurement, trade and exchange rates, trade and labour, trade and environment, standards and trade, investment, and on the impact assessment of preferential trade agreements. His academic work has been accepted by the World Bank Research Observer, the Review of International Economics, the Review of World Economics, the World Economy, the Review of Development Economics, and the World Trade Review amongst other journals. He has also authored reports for various international organizations including the World Bank, WTO, DfID, European Commission, ADB, UNCTAD, ITC, UNDP and the Commonwealth Secretariat. Anirudh graduated 'summa cum laude' from the MILE programme at the WTI and also holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. His undergraduate degree was in Economics (Honours) from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
