Ari Aisen

Head of the International Surveillance Team, Financial Policy Division at Central Bank Of Chile

Ari Aisen works at the Central Bank of Chile where he heads the International Surveillance Team at the Financial Policy Division. He is currently on leave from the International Monetary Fund, where he worked on various countries, including Bolivia, Uruguay, Dominican Republic and Nepal, before taking up his current position in Chile. His fields of interest are open-economy macroeconomics, international finance and political economy. His research has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, IMF Staff Papers and Public Choice, among others. Mr. Aisen is a Brazilian national and holds a Ph.D in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
