Ariell Reshef

Ariell Reshef is a CNRS Researcher (Directeur de Recherche) at the Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and is an Associate Member of the Paris School of Economics. His research interests focus on income distribution – in particular, the relationship of labour markets with global trade, technological change, regulation, and with the long run evolution of the financial sector. His work lies at the intersection of international trade, labour economics, and macroeconomics, and it studies changes in human capital, skills, and wages. Ariell moved to Paris in January 2016. Before this he was an Associate Professor (with tenure) at the University of Virginia. He holds B.A. degree in economics and management (2000) and an M.A. degree in economics from Tel Aviv University (2002), and a Ph.D. in economics from New York University (2008). During his Ph.D. he worked as a part time Consultant for the World Bank Institute in Washington, DC. He joined the University of Virginia in August 2008 as Assistant Professor, rising to Associate Professor in August 2015.
