Arjen Siegmann is professor of Valuable work and Christian-social thought at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Research Associate at the CDA Research Institute (CDA-WI). Previously he worked as researcher at the Netherlands Central Bank (DNB), council member for the city of Amstelveen and strategic advisor on credit risk modeling at AbnAmro. His research is mainly on financial markets and institutions, such as on hedge funds, banks and pension funds. He has published in Operations Research, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance. He recently edited a book on "Climate change as a common challenge" (Springer). He obtained his Ph.D in Finance in 2003 at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
