Arjun Mahalingam

Policy Adviser at Bank Of England

Arjun Mahalingam is a climate adviser in the International area of the Bank of England. He is the Bank’s global engagement lead on international climate issues and advises the Governor and Deputy Governors on relevant issues ahead of their international engagements in the G7, G20, FSB, etc. He has actively led and contributed to climate-related analytical and policy work in the international fora such as the FSB, OECD and NGFS. Before joining the Bank, he was a researcher on energy policy and climate risk management topics at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. He has academic degrees from the LSE, Delft University of Technology, and the University of Delhi. He has held visiting research positions at MIT and NUS.
