Asha Sundaram is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at The School of Economics, Faculty of Commerce, University of Cape Town in South Africa. Her research interests are in the fields of international trade and development economics. Asha’s current research focuses on interactions between trade liberalisation and domestic labour and credit market institutions. She is also working on the impact of export disincentives on US hi-tech exports. Asha has an M.Phil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Economics from Syracuse University.
