Asli Unan

Asli Unan is an Assistant Professor of Political Economy in the Department of European Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on understanding how policymakers and citizens form and change their policy preferences, attitudes and behavior in complex and multi-layered policy issues. She explores the role of intrinsic factors within the policymaking process, such as framing of information and trade-offs, alongside social factors such as public (mis)perceptions and social norms, and external factors like transboundary crises in shaping these policy dynamics.
