Atsushi Yamagishi is an associate professor at the Institute of Economic Research, Hitotsubashi University. He is also a project researcher at the Center for Real Estate Innovation, University of Tokyo, and an affiliated scholar of the Global Japan Lab, Princeton University. His research covers topics in urban and spatial economics, labor economics, public economics, and Japanese economy. Prior to joining Hitotsubashi University, he obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University in 2024.
