Balint Menyhert is a research fellow at the European Commission’s Joint Research Center in Ispra, Italy. He holds and Ph.D. in Economics from the Central European University and has previous work experience from the OECD, the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority and the Federal Reserve Banks of Boston and New York. His main research interests lie with applied microeconomics, labour economics and the economic history of 19th-century Central Europe.
