Benjamin Klaus is a Financial Stability Expert in the Financial Stability Surveillance Division of the European Central Bank. Prior to that he has worked in the Macro-Finance Division of the Banque de France and gained experience in the public sector (Bank of England, German Institute for Economic Research) and in the private sector (Barclays Global Investors, Deutsche Bank). Benjamin holds a bachelor degree in banking from Berlin School of Economics and Law, a master degree in business economics from European University Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and a Ph.D. in economics from Goethe University Frankfurt/Main. His policy and research interests are in finance, including asset pricing, banking and the interaction between the financial sector and the real economy.
