Berthold Herrendorf

Professor of Economics at Arizona State University

Berthold Herrendorf is a Professor of Economics at Arizona State University. He studied mathematics and economics at the University of Bonn and Indiana University, Bloomington, and he received his Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy. Before coming to ASU, Herrendorf taught at the University of Warwick and at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His current research is in the field of growth and development, with particular focus on the issues related to structural transformation. He has published his research in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, the American Economic Journal – Macroeconomics, the Economic Journal, the European Economic Review, the International Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Review of Economic Studies.
