Betsey Stevenson is a member of the Council of Economic Advisers. She is on leave from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the Economics Department where she is an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics. She was also a Research Associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Fellow of the Ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Law and Economics Association and the advisory board of the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity. She served as the Chief Economist of the US Department of Labor from 2010 to 2011, and has taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and Princeton and been a Visiting Scholar at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Federal Reserve Banks.
