Brad Larsen

Associate Professor of Economics at Stanford University

Brad Larsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Stanford University, where he teaches courses in industrial organization and applied microeconomics. He is a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Faculty Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences. Prior to joining Stanford, he was a Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar at eBay Research Labs. His research focuses on empirical and theoretical analysis of bargaining, occupational licensing, consumer search, auctions, price discrimination, grey market activity, copyright law, online markets, and trade, as well as applied econometrics. Professor Larsen earned his PhD in Economics from MIT, where was a Presidential Fellow and NSF Graduate Research Fellow. He received a BA in Economics and BS in Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
