Carolina Osorio Buitron

Economist in the Research Department at International Monetary Fund

Carolina Osorio-Buitron currently works as an Economist in the Research Department of the IMF, following a position in the European Department. She holds a PhD and Masters in Economics from the University of Oxford. Her research interests include financial economics, monetary policy and labour markets. Her current research agenda focuses on cross-country spillovers from unconventional monetary policy in advanced economies and the relation between institutions and inequality. Before joining the IMF, Carolina worked as an Economist in the Central Bank of Colombia.
