Dr. Catarina Marvão is a Lecturer in Economics and Finance at Technological University Dublin, and Affiliated Faculty at the Stockholm School of Economics (SITE). She holds a Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin and Johns Hopkins University (2014). Her main research interests are industrial organization and finance, with antitrust applications. Much of her work focuses on cartel recidivism and damages, banking infringements, and managerial incentives. She is a funded investigator with KKV (Swedish Competition Authority), Irish Research Council, Enterprise Ireland, Marcus and Marianne Wallenberg and Wenner-Gren Foundation. She regularly engages with the Irish Competition Authority (CCPC) and previously worked at the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) and the Portuguese Water and Waste Regulator (ERSAR). In 2023, she won "T.U.Dublin's Established Career Award" and the "Rising Star in Academia", by W@Competition.
