Christian Dreger is Professor for Macroeconomics at the European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder and Head of the Department for Macroeconomics at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). He received his degree as Diplom Volkswirt from the Free University of Berlin, and his doctorate and habilitation in economics from the University of Kassel. Current research interests include the economics of European integration, macroeconometric modelling, forecasting methods, and monetary policy. He has conducted numerous research projects for several institutions, such as the European Commission.
