Cristiano Perugini is an Associate Professor in Political Economy and at the University of Perugia (Italy). He joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2019 and has been appointed as Visiting Professor at the University of Belgrade (2020-2025). His research focuses on the interplay between income and wage inequality and labour market institutions. He published his works in Labour Economics, World Development, the Cambridge Journal of Economics, the Review of Income and Wealth, The International Labour Review and the Journal of Policy Modelling, among others. He is a member of the Editorial Team of Economic Systems, for which he served as a Guest Editor for the special issues on income mobility and functional income distribution.
