Daisuke Fujii

Daisuke Fujii is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles and a Fellow at RIETI. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2014, A.M. in Statistics from Harvard University in 2009, and B.A. in Liberal Arts from Soka University of America in 2007. He also spent a year at Yale University as a visiting Ph.D. student in 2012-2013. His primary research fields are international trade, urban economics, and industrial organizations. The main theme of his research agenda is the macroeconomic implications of micro-level evidence such as the size distribution of firms, idiosyncratic shock processes, resource misallocation, and the structure of business networks. Currently, he is interested in the economics of networks focusing on firms production networks and supply chains.
