Daniel Hicks

Associate Professor, Department of Economics at University Of Oklahoma

Daniel Hicks is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Oklahoma. He received his Ph.D in Economics from U.C. Berkeley in 2009. An applied development economist, he has research at the intersections of economics with gender, culture, consumer behavior, and pollution. His work has been published in the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Economic Inquiry, Oxford Economic Papers, and the European Journal of Political Economy. His research has been featured in the Atlantic, the Boston Globe, and the Chronicle of Higher Education. During Fall 2016, Dr. Hicks will be a Visiting Scholar in the Institute for International Economic Policy at the GWU Elliott School for International Affairs.
