Danilo Leiva-León is a Senior Economist at the DG Economics and Statistics of the Bank of Spain. Previously, he has held positions at the Bank of Canada and Central Bank of Chile. He has worked extensively on issues related to empirical macroeconomics, business cycles, forecasting, and nonlinear models. His work has been published in the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, among others. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Alicante in Spain.
