Daqing Yao is an Associate Research Professor at the Institute of World Economy, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University and his Ph.D. in Economics from Fudan University. His main research fields include international monetary system, foreign exchange theory and policy, the internationalization of RMB, and the economic integration of Euro area.
