David Jiménez-Gómez

David Jimenez-Gomez (Assistant Professor at University of Alicante FAE) is a behavioral economist working at the intersection of economic theory, experimental economics, and health-related behavior. He has recently been working in behavioral welfare economics, that analyzes the welfare effect of policies, taking into account that individuals can make mistakes because they are subject to hedonic adaptation, self-control problems, and other forms of cognitive biases. He is interested in nudges and other behavioral interventions, and how they can be used to improve people’s well-being, particularly in applications to health behavior.
