David Martínez Turégano is a Senior Economist at the European Commission. He has over 20 years of professional experience in applied economic analysis, first developed at the private sector, oriented to strategic and business decisions, and currently at the institutional level, supporting policy making within the European Union. His research agenda has covered diverse areas, including, among those more relevant, the identification of drivers and obstacles for long-term economic growth, the analysis of determinants for competitiveness and international trade, as well as the impact of global economic transformations on demand, production capabilities and income distribution.
