David Molitor

Assistant Professor of Finance, Gies College of Business at University Of Illinois At Urbana Champaign

David Molitor is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). His research explores how location and the environment shape health and health care delivery in the United States. He is a Principal Investigator of the Illinois Workplace Wellness Study, a large-scale field experiment of workplace wellness conducted at the University of Illinois. His work has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, J-PAL North America, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. His research has been published in leading academic journals including The American Economic Review, The Quarterly Journal of Economics, and The Review of Economics and Statistics and has been covered by media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and National Public Radio. He is a recipient of the iHEA Arrow Award (2020) and NIHCM Research Award (2020) and has also been recognized for excellence in teaching.
