David Soskice is School Professor of Political Science and Economics at the LSE. He works on the interaction of systems of capitalism, macroeconomics and political systems, and is the co-editor with Peter Hall of Varieties of Capitalism (OUP, 2001). With Torben Iversen (Harvard) he has written Advanced Capitalist Democracies, forthcoming. With Wendy Carlin he wrote Macroeconomics: Imperfections, Institutions and Policies (OUP, 2006) and Macroeconomics: Institutions,Instability and the Financial System (OUP, 2015). He is an FBA in Politics and Economics and President of the European Political Science Association 2011-3.
