Deliana Kostova is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Her research interests are in health economics and applied microeconomics. Deliana's current research focuses on the economics of tobacco use. Her dissertation estimates the price elasticities of cigarette demand, smoking initiation, and smoking cessation among youth in developing nations. She has also published research on the economics of obesity, in particular on the effects of residential sprawl and the built environment on obesity rates in the U.S.
