Désirée Christofzik

Désirée I. Christofzik has held the Chair of Public Economics at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer since 2021. Before that, she was a Professor at the Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Brühl (Germany). Prior to this appointment, she served as Deputy Secretary General and Economist in the scientific staff of the German Council of Economic Experts and was member of the Working Group on Tax Revenue Forecasting (Arbeitskreis Steuerschätzungen) as well as the Working Group on Public Finance (Arbeitskreis Finanzwissenschaft) at the German Federal Ministry of Finance. Her research focuses on (local) public finance as well as tax and fiscal policy.
