Diego Rodriguez-Guzman is a Senior Economist in the Macro-Modeling and Monetary Division of the IMF Institute for Capacity Development (ICD). His work focuses on the development and application of macroeconomic models to support policy analysis for central banks and ministries of finance in low-income countries (LICs), emerging market economies (EMEs), and advanced economies (AEs). Prior to joining the IMF in 2019, he was Head of the Modeling Department at the Central Bank of Colombia. He has also worked as a consultant for the IMF, IDB, FLAR, and other institutions. His research covers monetary policy, international finance, fiscal policy, commodity prices, and DSGE models, with publications in the Journal of International Economics, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Review, and other academic journals. He holds an M.A. in Economics from Boston University, where he also pursued Ph.D. studies.
