Diego Solórzano is a Research Economist in the General Directorate of Economic Research at Banco de México. His research focuses on macroeconomics and international economics, with a particular emphasis on wage and price setting models and inflation drivers, such as exchange rate fluctuations. He also leverages highly disaggregated data and applies machine learning techniques to understand the role of nominal rigidities in determining real economic outcomes. Diego holds a BSc in Actuarial Sciences from UNAM, an MSc in Applied Economics and Data Analysis from the University of Essex, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick.
