Dino Pinelli has an MA in Economics from the University of Essex, UK, and PhD in Economics from the University of Bologna. He’s currently Team Leader of Italy’s Desk at DG Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission, following in particular taxation, labour and product markets reforms. He previously served a Policy Officer at DG Enterprise and Industry, in charge of monitoring Italy’s reform process under the Growth and Jobs strategy. Before joining the Commission in 2005, he was Senior Researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, Milano, where he coordinated several international research projects on innovation, diversity and economic growth. From 1994 to 1998, he was Manager of the European regional service at Cambridge Econometrics, Cambridge, UK.
