Dirk-Jan Koch

PhD student at the Centre for International Development Issues at Radboud University Nijmegen

Dirk-Jan Koch is combining a career as a Development Practitioner and an academic. He started his career at the Delegation of the European Commission in Nigeria and has been working for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2004. He is currently seconded to the Centre for International Development Issues in Nijmegen of the Radboud University to complete his PHD thesis into the geographic choices of international development NGOs. He holds his Master Degree from the London School of Economics and was a Visiting Scholar to the International Monetary Fund Institute. Articles by him have been published in the European Journal of Development Research and Simulation & Gaming. He has contributed chapters to among others A Fresh Look at Aid edited by Mavrotas and McGillivray (Palgrave and MacMillan) and in the Financing Development Report 2008 from the OECD Development Centre.
