In Do Hwang

Dr. Hwang is a senior economist at the Economic Research Institute of the Bank of Korea. He has worked for the Bank of Korea since 2003, researching various issues in monetary policy in the Research Department and the Monetary Policy Department. Recently, he served as a senior economist at the Advisor to Governor. His areas of interests are loss aversion and household portfolio choice, monetary policy communication, and trust. Dr. Hwang received his Ph.D in Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016. The title of his doctoral dissertation was "Essays on Loss Aversion and Household Portfolio Choice." He received his B.A. in Economics at Sungkyunkwan University.
