Domenico Lombardi

Domenico Lombardi is a think tank executive at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), Canada. He also serves on the advisory boards of the Peterson Institute for International Economics and the Bretton Woods Committee in Washington, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Asian Economic Panel. Before joining CIGI, Domenico was a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington. Prior to that, his career includes positions on the executive boards of major international financial institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. His research has been published widely in scholarly and policy outlets. He has testified before the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the Subcommittee on Security and International Trade and Finance. Domenico has an undergraduate degree summa cum laude in banking and finance from Bocconi University, Milan, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Oxford University (Nuffield College).
