Dominique van der Mensbrugghe

Research Professor and Director of the Center for Global Trade Analysis at Purdue University

Dominique van der Mensbrugghe is Research Professor and Director of the Center for Global Trade Analysis (GTAP) at Purdue University. As Director of GTAP he has responsibility for overall management of the development of the GTAP Data Base and Model, working with the GTAP Advisory Board, supervising the Center’s short courses, and organizing the annual GTAP Conference. His research focuses in analyzing economic policies of a global nature such as multilateral trade agreements and climate change and is an expert on global computable general equilibrium modeling. Prior to joining Purdue University in 2014, he worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (1988-1998), the World Bank (1998-2011), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (2011-2014). He has an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Louvain in Belgium and a PhD in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
